A Quiet Morning at The Great Wall of China

Spent a sunset and sunrise at the Jinshanling section of the Great Wall, around 150km north of Beijing. This section is much less visited (I was literally alone for a lot of the time) and has some beautiful rolling hills with the wall running along the top for miles and miles.

There's good infrastructure and most of the section is well restored and easily accessible, but didn't lose its original look and environment.

11 Years after I recorded a timelapse for the 150th anniversary of Herbstfest Rosenheim, one of the many famous Bavarian beer festivals, 2022 finally brought an end to the spectacle’s two years corona-induced break. The timing was perfect, as I was about to spend a few weeks at home in Germany, and the idea to create a new version was born.

Discovering Sun, Moon & Stars

Undoubtedly one of my - if not the - favorite subjects are our celestial friends, the companions that fly with with alongside earth through our Milky Way, the aforementioned galaxy itself, and even places much deeper in the universe.

Places from the Air

Sometimes an aerial view provides a different perspective. Explore some of them in this playlist.

Compressing Time

The most magical kinds of artistic creations are the ones the provide a new perspective to people. Timelapse videos can do this - compressing days or hours into just minutes and seconds, opening our eyes to how quickly our environments change, and how different they look in this process.
